There are many resources for entertaining your little ones.  As a mother of two, I have hosted my share of kid parties.  The first part of planning your child’s party is to pick a fun theme.  Your theme should be chosen by your child, unless it’s a surprise, of course.  Once you have chosen your theme, it’s time to plan the rest.  You’ll need invitations, decorations, entertainment and food.

Tips for entertaining kids’ parties should include unique entertainment.  How about learning how to twist your own balloons?  This is always a big hit at any party with children.  After learning how to twist balloons, I decided to bring a handful of balloons to the park and practice.  You wouldn’t believe the amount of kids circling around me.  I twisted up animals until I was out of balloons.  A mother I met there, paid me to do it at her son’s birthday, two weeks later.  I definitely didn’t see that coming.

For young boys, you could get fabric and make capes that the boys take home.  This is a little easier if you have a sewing machine.  First have your son choose the color of the capes, or you could choose a pattern that goes with your theme.  Sew a piece of white fabric on back, in the shape of your choice.  During the party, the guests can draw their own insignia with fabric markers on the piece of white fabric.  There are so many ways to throw an entertaining kids party! Can you imagine leaving a party with your face painted, wearing a cape, holding a balloon sword?  Other kids will notice.
